I Did Some Major Changes

I Did Some Major Changes

If my future self were to say to me, “Renard, you would get rid of Facebook and Twitter in 2018,” I would have had doubts.

Facebook was the first to go and then I got rid of Twitter by deactivating it (I cannot wait for the thirty days to be over, because it would be deleted after that time-period).

Any social media network that thinks that it can humiliate me and get away with it will be deleted! Continue reading “I Did Some Major Changes”

I Have Been Shadow Banned By Twitter Again!

I am finding it very hard to believe that Twitter placed a shadow ban on me again.

If my memory serves me correctly, this is probably my fourth shadow ban.

A Twitter shadow ban is when Twitter hides all of your Tweets from Twitter’s search results (No one from outside of your Twitter following is going to see your Tweets).

The first time that I was shadow banned I was worried.

The second time that I was shadow banned I was angry.

The third time that I was shadow banned I was really pissed.

This time around, I am like an emotionless observer. Continue reading “I Have Been Shadow Banned By Twitter Again!”

I Finally Deactivated My Facebook Account

On Saturday the 21st of July, 2018, I made the decision to deactivate my Facebook account (They said that it would be permanently deleted if I do not log in to my Facebook account within the period of 14 days).

People around the world are getting fed up of Facebook and they are deleting their Facebook accounts too!

At the moment, Facebook’s main goal is to make money and they are mostly concerned with those major corporations that pay their money to advertise their businesses on their social media platform.

Facebook has lost its zeal for the average user.

People are more interested in the following social media networks:

  • Pinterest
  • Instagram (Which ironically is owned by Facebook)
  • SnapChat

In most instances, it is the younger folks who call all of the shots in regards to the popularity of social media networks. If they stood up on the pulpit and said loudly, “Facebook is outdated — Facebook is old-school; Facebook had its time,” people will listen.

And, come to think of it, the majority of the people on Facebook are approximately around their mid-thirties and older.

Facebook, I had enough of you! Continue reading “I Finally Deactivated My Facebook Account”

A Case Of Social Media Madness

Social Media

The day we bloggers became heavily reliant on social media, was the day we decided that we could not live without it.

Well, the God’s/Goddess’ truth is, that we can live without social media. It is just, that we have grown accustomed to sharing the links to our blog posts on those social media networks that we are a part of.

And, when things do not go as planned with our social media networks, we lose our sanity.

Could you remember what life was like before you joined those social media networks?

Oh, sure you do!

Life was much simpler for us and we did not have to worry about what transpired on those social media networks.

Damn! What did we get ourselves into?

This Is What I Think Of Social Media

Social media has become intertwined with our lives. Some of us cannot imagine going a day without it.

Almost everywhere I go, I see people with their smartphones in their hand; they are either doing the following:

  • Taking selfies with the intentions of uploading their photos on Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter and Facebook.
  • Updating their Facebook status.
  • Tweeting their thoughts on Twitter.
  • Uploading short videos on Snapchat.
  • Checking out boards of people on Pinterest with the intentions of looking for something interesting to pin on their board.
  • Uploading a picture of a meal that they are about to have on Instagram.
  • Participating in group video chats via Google Hangouts.

Those are merely some of the things that people utilise social media for.

How do you use social media? Continue reading “This Is What I Think Of Social Media”
