The entertainment world is filled with crazy shows (Hey I do not mind; I am always on the lookout for shows that differ from the norm).
There are times when I wonder, do these writers, producers and directors go out of their way to shock the living daylights of their viewing audience?
The answer to that question might be an astounding, “Yes!”
So, without further ado, it is time for me to share my crazy findings with you.

1.) Cowboy Bebop
Cowboy Bebop is an American science-fiction/space western television series; it is based on a cool-looking Japanese anime series of the same name.
In a nutshell, Cowboy Bebop is about the adventures of a crew of bounty hunters (They are paid to hunt down the galaxy’s most dangerous criminals).
This entertaining show was developed by Christopher Yost.
Here is a list of some of the cast members of Cowboy Bebop and their respective roles:
- Alex Hassell acts as Vicious; he is Spike’s archenemy and a member of the Red Dragon Crime Syndicate.
- Daniella Pineda acts as Faye Valentine; she is a bounty hunter — the woman who lost her memories after she was revived from cryosleep.
- Elena Satine acts as Julia; she is deeply admired by both Vicious and Spike.
- John Cho acts as Spike Spiegel (also known as, “Fearless”); he is a bounty hunter from Mars — a man with a violent history of gang activity.
- Mustafa Shakir acts as Jet Black; he is Spike’s partner, a former ISSP detective and the Captain of the Bebop.
Cowboy Bebop debuted on Netflix on Friday the 19th of November, 2021.
In spite of Cowboy Bebop being cancelled after its first season, it is available for streaming on Netflix.
2.) Raised by Wolves

Another crazy show on my list is Raised by Wolves; this American science-fiction/drama television series was created by Aaron Guzikowski.
Raised by Wolves is about two androids (Mother and Father) who are tasked with raising human children on the Planet, Kelper-22b.
Here is a list of some of the show’s actors and actresses as well as their respective roles:
- Aasiya Shah acts as Holly; she is one of the surviving children from the Ark.
- Abubakar Salim acts as Father; he is a service android that was reprogrammed to help raise and protect the colony’s children.
- Amanda Collin acts as Mother/Lamia; she is known as the necromancer (a former war android); she was reprogrammed to raise atheist children on the Planet, Kelper-22b.
- Ethan Hazzard acts as Hunter; he is a young adult survivor of the Ark.
- Felix Jamieson acts as Paul; he is the biological son of Marcus and Sue; he was also raised by Caleb and Mary as their own son.
- Ivy Wong acts as Vita; she is one of the children who survived the Ark.
- Jordan Loughran acts as Tempest; she is a survivor of the Mithraic mission.
- Niamh Algar acts as Sue/Mary; she is an atheist soldier, a medic and Caleb’s partner.
- Matias Varela acts as Lucius; he is a very loyal Mathriac soldier.
- Winta McGrath acts as Campion; he is the youngest and the only survivor of the six children that were born from embryos brought to Kelper-22b by Mother and Father.
Raised by Wolves first appeared on HBO Max on Thursday the 3rd of September, 2020.
This science-fiction/drama television series is available for streaming on HBO Max.

3.) Inventing Anna
The last crazy show on my list is Inventing Anna; which is an American drama mini-series.
Inventing Anna was created by Shonda Rhimes.
The producers for this very entertaining show are Jessica Pressler, Jess Brownell and Holden Chang.
Inventing Anna is about Anna Delvey conning New York’s elite into believing that she is a rich German Heiress (As a result, she runs up a huge debt, steals from friends and ends up in jail).
Here is a list of the show’s main actors and actresses as well as their respective roles:
- Julia Garner acts as the fraudster, Anna Delvey.
- Anna Chlumsky acts as Vivian Kent.
- Laverne Cox acts as Kacy Duke.
- Anna Deavere Smith acts as Maud.
- Arian Moayed acts as Todd Spodek.
- Alexis Floyd acts as Neff Davis.
- Katie Lowes acts as Rachel Williams.
- Jeff Perry acts as Lou.
- Anders Holm acts as Jack.
- Terry Kinney acts as Barry.
Inventing Anna debuted on Netflix on Friday the 11th of February, 2022.
This crazy show is available for streaming on Netflix.
Wrapping Up
Crazy shows are interesting to watch and at times, they can be highly entertaining.
Have you seen any of the shows on my list?
And, do you plan on watching any of those crazy shows in the near future?
Inventing is in my list to watch – i am watching wolves (good show) – not sure about cowboy. looks a little corny. but i might give it a try.

A little corny? Boy, you have no idea. What made us cry in the anime just bored us to tears in Netflix’ totally misjudged attempt. 😐

I see. I have the 1st issue of the comic book I still need to read. I hope it’s not corny. Or too corny.

I have no idea about the manga, only about the anime shows. And there CB is still a legend. And the Netflix version wasn’t good. It wasn’t unfixable shit tho, so we’re a bit disappointed about Netflix giving up so quickly. All they needed to do was firing the writers. The basis was a bit wobbly but now the future is wide open for a loooong series of quirky little crime and bountyhunting stories. Could’ve become a funny little series with lots of action and meditations about how to be an adult and to carry the weight.

Saw …”Wolves…” Really liked it. Saw only the trailers to …”Be Bop…” looked interesting, so I put it on my list. Since … “Anna…” has some sci/fi elements, I’ll probably check it out.

Don’t! If you don’t wanna tarnish the good impression the original anime left with you, just don’t. Netflix phuxxed it, like totally. 😮

Me and my fiancé actually did watch the raised by wolves. It was good, that’s not my typical to watch. I found is super interesting. Even my kids stayed seated to watch.

We’re big ol’ fans of Cowboy Bebop since, like, forever. And our scepticism was high when we heard about a live action remake of the show. And in that regard we’ve not been disappointed: Netflix did many things right but fell totally flat – as we feared – on the storytelling structure. The most important thing they got completely wrong! Giving Vicious/Julia so much screentime and their own story arc was about the worst one could do to CB’s proven concept. The show was stale and flat, no fun and boring. Not an enjoyable watch. 😦
No wonder then that the viewership sank so low they had to cancel after only one measly season. Netflix had a huge chance here and put serious money into the production. Why o why do they have no problems finding good computers and CGI studios but not able to hire good screenwriters?

Gotta politely disagree on Wolves, Renard. It’s just another attack on religion.
LikeLiked by 1 person
🙂 I am okay with you disagreeing.
According to the story of “Raised by Wolves”, the Atheist and the Mithraic (the religious sect) started a war with each other; which resulted in the destruction of Earth.
Now, in spite of some of the Mithraic members and the Atheist members making their way to Kelper-22b, they continue carrying out the same actions that caused the destruction of Earth.
What I have learned over the years, is that people can live in harmony with their differences (Once that has been achieved, no war is necessary).

Interesting. The Synopsis I had read (which I thought was the producers’) was that the religious sects went out of their way to hunt down and kill all atheists. The Atheists had to retreat offworld and were eventually even chased to Kelper-22b, which is where our story sort of begins.
If it’s as balanced as you say, I’ll definitely have to look it over.

I have only heard of the last one, and only about 2 days ago! I like the sound of all three so think they need to be added to my watch list. Especially the first one! Pity it was cancelled, but these days there are so many series, I actually enjoy watching ones that are either cancelled or limited otherwise I’d be in front of the TV all day trying to catch up lol
