5 Things That Some Bloggers Fail To Understand

Where blogging is concerned, we are all at various degrees of understanding (One blogger may have a clear understanding of a particular thing, while another blogger may have a very hard time wrapping his or her mind around the same concept).

The nice thing is that no blogger remains ignorant forever; they are taught certain things by other bloggers, or they eventually figure things out for themselves.

Hey, I know that I have piqued your curiosity. So, without further ado, it is time for me to shed light on some of the things that some bloggers are incapable of grasping mentally.

1.) Not Everyone Who Follows Your Blog Is Interested In It

Dear friend, it is a sad fact, that not everyone who follows your blog is interested in it (Ouch! I know that hurts a lot, but it is true).

Some people merely want you to follow them back.

As a matter of fact, it is time for bloggers to stop playing the I follow you and you follow me back game.

One should only follow blogs that they are genuinely interested in.

2.) Not Everyone Is Going To Agree With You

You have to be an extremely naive person to believe that everyone is going to agree with you.

From a realistic perspective, there will always be a bunch of people who will disagree with what you posted on your blog (And, some of those people will voice their disagreement via your blog’s comments section).

We will always have disagreements due to the fact that:

• People have different religious beliefs.
• People have different political affiliations.
• People have different views on life.
• People have different preferences when it comes to the usage of technology.
• People have different blogging ideologies.

It is our differences that make life interesting.

If someone disagrees with what you posted and voices their opinion via your blog’s comments section, seize the opportunity to carry out a friendly dialogue ― one that allows each party to learn something new.

3.) Not Everyone Would Be In A Position To Check Out Your Blog Post On The Same Day That It Was Posted

In case you did not know, we bloggers log in to our WordPress accounts at a time that is convenient to us.

Therefore, some of your followers will be logged in on the day that you published your new blog post.

Whereas, a portion of your followers will interact with your blog whenever they take the time to log in to their WordPress account; which could be:

• The following day.
• A few days after.
• Quite next week.
• The following month.

There is no rule that states that it is mandatory for a blogger to log in to their WordPress account daily.

Those people who log in to their WordPress account on a daily basis do it out of their free will.

So, do not judge the performance of your blog post by how many people interacted with it on the same day that it was published.

4.) Not Everyone Was Meant To Be A Superb Writer

The God’s/Goddess’s truth is that everyone was not meant to be a superb writer.

I will admit, that it is possible for anyone to improve the quality of their writing.

However, bloggers have to start somewhere; whether or not, their standards match that of the top bloggers.

In regards to business-related blogging, you will need to be at the top of your game; thus everything will need to be:

• Grammatically correct.
• Devoid of misspelled words.
• Easy to read.
• Well-formatted.

In regards to personal blogging, you are granted a bit of leeway (Your viewing audience does not expect you to be perfect).

So, have fun and publish your blog posts without any fear of ridicule.

Believe it or not, the fear of not being good enough has prevented a lot of personal bloggers from publishing blog posts on their blogs (Oh, that is a pity because everyone has a story inside of them ― a story that is waiting to come out).

5.) Not Everyone’s Blog Is Going To Grow At The Same Rate

You may have started a blog at the same time as someone else, yet they have more followers than you.

While that may appear somewhat puzzling to you, the person who started blogging at the same time as you may have more followers than you because:

• They are working harder than you in the area of blogging.
• In spite of starting their blog at the same time as you, they had other blogs in the past (Which makes them more experienced in the area of blogging than the person who has only ventured into blogging once).
• The links to their blog posts are shared regularly on various social media platforms.
• People are attracted to the blogger’s personality.
• People like the types of topics that the blogger has chosen to publish on their blog.
• They are very good at what they do.

Okay, some bloggers will be more popular than others (And, that is the way it will always be in the blogosphere).

Never become jealous of them.

The most you can do, my friend, is to appreciate the number of followers that you have, know to yourself that your blog is going to grow and continue blogging happily.

Final Thoughts

The truth is that in spite of those concepts being easily understood by some bloggers, there are a bunch of bloggers who will find them hard to grasp mentally; such as:

• Not everyone who follows your blog is interested in it.
• Not everyone is going to agree with you.
• Not everyone would be in a position to check out your blog post on the same day that it was posted.
• Not everyone was meant to be a superb writer.
• Not everyone’s blog is going to grow at the same rate.
