Life just happens.
Whether it’s good or bad, it happens to you and there is no escape.
Am I right?
Don’t you agree?
We are aware that life happens for sure.
It is not Rocket Science.
My friend, you already know what is going on around you; you remembered what happened in the past and you are sure that positive or negative things will happen in the future.
You are aware of life and death, you know failure and success, and you strongly support the view that life is shit and nothing is under your control.
So Why Bother At All?
The common understanding by the majority of you is that things that happen to you (whether it be personal or professional), are already determined and there is nothing that you can do about this and all that you have to do is to continue living your mundane life.
The only time that you are proud of yourself is when everything goes smoothly. You don’t hesitate to give credit to yourself, but your thinking becomes different when you are faced with difficulties in your life.
And you are very sure that anything that happens to you (be it in the manner of divorce or arguments with your parents/spouse/children/friends/relatives and even strangers), is not because of your fault.
You don’t hesitate to blame your parents for the things that went wrong in your childhood.
If you become a drug addict or an alcoholic, you say it’s not because of you and the circumstances in your life that made you so.
If you are into bad company, you claim that things were forced on you instead of coming out of the mess.
If there is a serious sickness in your family or a serious sickness in someone else’s family, you become philosophical and talk about Karma and try to get some comfort.
A celebrity with lots of money and fame commits suicide.
Why?
I can go on and on with more examples.
Unfortunately, we have excuses readily available for anything that happens.
You Never Get Tired Of Talking About Destiny, Fate And Situations
You are busy providing excuses and explanations for your behaviour.
You don’t hesitate to enter into the blame game to prove your point.
You are living in an illusion, my friend.
You Are Responsible For Your Own Life
“Life doesn’t happen to you, it happens for you.” ― Tony Robbins
What is it exactly that Tony Robbins is trying to say?
My friend, whether you are on top of the world or you are fully soaked in shit, it’s still your life and you are the creator of everything and you alone are responsible for this.
You are either enjoying life or you are drenched in sadness.
Remember that your ‘beautiful life’ comes in waves and not as a permanent feature (You must strive hard to achieve what you have aimed for).
Luck Does Not Exist
Instead of realizing that there is no such thing as luck, you take things personally and God forbids if something bad happens, you start blaming others, your luck, how God is not helping and you come to the conclusion that the Universe is hell-bent on destroying you.
My dear friend, the Universe is not against you. The Universe is begging you to ask for favours (If only you made sincere attempts to achieve those things that you wished for).
Prayers alone are not going to help you and don’t blame God for not listening to you (There must be sincere efforts from your side).
The nursing mother can only provide milk to the infant when he or she cries.
Like the infant, one must make an effort to achieve their heart’s desire.
Your Mind Is Powerful
Your mind has the power to transform your day positively or negatively (I refer to this as, your mindset).
If good things are happening, you feel that all of the credit should go to you.
If unfavourable or bad things are happening to you, you end up finding fault with others.
You react accordingly to your given mindset.
Having A Positive Attitude About Life Helps
“You cannot always control what goes on outside. But you can always control what goes on inside.” ― Dr. Wayne Dyer
Change your attitude!
You alone are responsible for your own success or failure.
In the case of success, you are better off sharing your experiences with others.
In regards to failure, you should keep in mind, that God allows you to learn from your mistakes (And that makes you a stronger person).
You have one life and you must make it enjoyable instead of pondering the reasons why bad things happen to you.
The Take-Home Message
“Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react.” ― Charles R. Swindoll
Here are some important things to always remember:
- You should always take charge of your life.
- Life continues to happen regardless of how you react to it.
- You are much better off being in charge of your attitude, mindset and actions.
- You should ride with life’s ebbs and flows (Be flexible).
- Your mind is very powerful.
Thank you!
Namaste. 🙏🙏🙏

Powerfully inspirational article dear Philo. I would also that we believe He never creates a problem without creating a solution first, but we must keep our minds active to search for solutions instead of complaining about problems.

Thank you Dolly.
Yes.I agree with you.
Problems arise because solutions are readily available.
That is the fun part.
Instead of finding the solutions , either we blame ourselves or others.

My friend I understand your feelings.
In psychology ‘self blame’ is nothing but ‘Emotional abuse’.
Sadly here, one exaggerates the inadequacies.
Best solution is to move on or find alternatives.
The best suggestion is…take action to change your thinking pattern.
Self awareness of our actions more important my friend.
Thank you for your thought provoking comment.

Thank you for sharing enjoyed reading this post, if only we all took responsibility for our own lives and the choices we make instead of placing blame on circumstance or other people. We would surely find we lead a less complicated and a much more peaceful life once we do 💕🙏🏾
