We all need a bit of inspiration in our lives.
Where there is inspiration, you can count on creativity being close by.
A painter might be inspired by the sight of a tree and as a result of their inspiration, they end up creating a painting of the tree.
It is as though inspiration opens the figurative door for creativity to enter.
So, I can clearly understand the reason why most bloggers need to feel that deep sense of inspiration before they go about putting together their blog posts.
Here are some things that inspire me (And, there is a high probability of some of those things inspiring you too).
1.) Read A Blog Post From One Of Your Favourite Bloggers
Yes, my friend, reading a blog post from one of your favourite bloggers will inspire you.
In my case, I enjoy reading blog posts from Ryan Biddulph; he is an amazing blogger who is great at providing people with fabulous blogging advice.
Starting your day by reading an inspirational blog post from one of your favourite bloggers, will help you to get your creative juices flowing.
I strongly advise that you give that method a try (It actually works).
2.) Read One Of Your Old Blog Posts That You Are Proud Of
Reading one of your old blog posts that you are proud of works.
In most instances, you will be amazed at what you wrote.
And, it would serve as a general reminder of the types of blog posts that you are capable of producing.
It is hard to doubt your capabilities after you have read that fantastic blog post of yours.
3.) Drink A Caffeinated Beverage
A lot of writers are in the habit of brewing a pot of coffee before they tackle the writing process.
And, there are some content creators (like myself) who would prefer to make an entire pot of tea.
Then there are those folks who would settle for energy drinks like Monster Energy and Red Bull.
What do all of those beverages have in common?
They all contain caffeine!
Caffeine helps in the area of releasing the neurotransmitter β dopamine (And, that is the reason why you feel so good after drinking a caffeinated beverage).
I would like to state for the record, that even though we can benefit by consuming caffeine in moderate amounts, it is not a substance that we should take too much of.
And, why is it that we should not consume too much caffeine?
Because excessive caffeine consumption can result in the following things:
- Dehydration
- Anxiety
- Heart Palpitations
- Muscle Twitches and Spasms
- High Blood Pressure
- Gastrointestinal Disturbance
- Headaches
- Insomnia
- Diuresis
- Addiction
- Cardiac Arrest
- Stomach Ulcers
So, never abuse caffeine because you will suffer the negative consequences if you do.
4.) Walk For At Least Thirty Minutes
A lot of bloggers can enhance their health by walking for at least thirty minutes daily or a few days a week.
In addition to releasing endorphins (the feel-good hormone), the quality of exercise that we get by simply walking can result in the following things:
- Improved memory and cognitive functions.
- Decreased levels of stress.
- Toned muscles and stronger bones.
- Improved sleep.
Many of the top bloggers understand the importance of exercise (Which is why they partake in it on a regular basis).
And, when you are feeling energized after that thirty-minute walk of yours, you can begin the process of creating the content for your blog.
5.) Help Out Another Blogger
There are a lot of newbie bloggers on WordPress who need help.
How do I know this?
Because I came across their blogs via the WordPress.com Reader and they literally asked for help.
If you were to ever come across one of them, help them out by providing them with a helpful solution via the comments section of their blog.
And, it always feels good helping out a fellow blogger.
6.) Watch An Inspirational Video On YouTube
Youtube is filled with lots of inspirational videos.
You can find videos that are based on:
- Money Saving Tips.
- How to prepare a vegan meal.
- How to go about installing your favourite version of Linux on your computer.
- Law of Attraction Tips.
- Reviews on various types of electronics.
Now, that is merely a handful of some of the inspirational things that you can find on YouTube.
As far as I am concerned, you and I can never have too much inspiration.
And besides, we bloggers are always in constant need of material to write about.
7.) Play With Your Pet
Some of us are marvellous caretakers of cats, dogs, etcetera.
Playing with our pets can put us in a good mood and they can inspire us too.
My dog never gives up (And, if all bloggers had the level of determination that my dog possessed, they would have successful blogs).
We can certainly learn a lot from our pets.
8.) Do Something Differently
Those of you who have been following me for quite a while would know that I have been practicing to produce content via my Android smartphone.
Even though I formatted my articles via my Android smartphone in the past, I would do the final touches like photo editing via my laptop computer.
Today, I did the entire process on my Android smartphone (My friend, Fandango, would be very proud of me because he handles all of his blogging needs via his iPhone and he falls into the category of, “The elderly.” He is not a young fellow and if he can do it, I can certainly do it too).
For the record, I intend on doing the majority of my content creation via my laptop computer.
However, it is nice to finally achieve something that I thought was impossible for me to do (Which is to produce content for my blog without the aid of a laptop computer or a desktop computer).
Dear friend, it is possible to produce blog posts on one’s smartphone that is well-formatted and beautiful-looking (It takes a lot of practice, but you will get it right eventually; and if I thought that was impossible, I could just imagine some of the other things that I can do β things that I wrongfully thought was impossible).
9.) Do Something Nice For A Loved One
Oh, doing something nice for a loved one is a great way to show your appreciation for them.
And, inspiration plays a big part in being how creative we could get; such as:
- Baking a cake for a spouse.
- Preparing a special dessert for our son or daughter.
- Helping out our parents with their computer issue.
Doing something nice for a loved one makes us feel good (And, when we are feeling good, we find ourselves creating content for our blog with ease).
10.) Learn Something New
Learning something new is fun (Most people that I know enjoy learning new things).
It could be something as simple as:
- Learning how to use Canva.
- Learning how to use PicMonkey.
- Learning how to use Pinterest with the intentions of boosting the incoming traffic to your blog.
Learning those things that I mentioned would help you to enhance your blog and the better you get at it, will inspire you to learn even more.
Final Thoughts
I do hope that you were in an inspired state of mind after you read this article.
And, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your loyal support.
Also, thank you so kindly for paying my blog, Renard’s World a visit.
Ha, Iβve been using the WordPress app on my phone now for about 2 months, Iβm literally writing on the fly while at work! I donβt think my quality has gone down, then again, maybe it has.
Walking is wonderful to stimulate the brain. Thatβs why they say that exercise is fabulous at reducing stress. When you sit and think of what to write or stress over a problem, youβre only using one side of your brain, whereas, exercise lights up your entire brain. Use your whole head to figure it out.

Iβm βelderlyβ? Yikes, that makes me sound so, well, old! I like to think of myself as βwell seasonedβ rather than βelderly.β But I suppose I am what I am. At least Iβm still alive.

π You can teach a lot of the younger bloggers a thing or two about posting articles on their blog via a smartphone.
And, “Elderly,” is a badge of respect, my friend.

Hi Renard, I’m sorry for the off topic. I nominated you in my blogger award post, but there’s no pressure to do anything about it. The post is here https://readerwitch.com/2018/09/24/sunshine-blogger-award/

As I said, no pressure. I used to be not into them either, a long time ago with my previous blogs, but now I see this post as an opportunity for some fun and even more meaningful talks to have on blogs. But of course, it’s only my take on it. I liked your blog and your attitude so I mentioned you, that’s the only reason. Enjoy your day!

These are very helpful tips, Renard! My go-to sources for inspiration are reading blog posts β mine and that of other bloggers β and watching YouTube videos. But I’ve learnt two or three things I can add to the list. Thank you.

Thank you for this list. I do virtually all of these routinely, at one time or another. Alas, with my schedule, I have no pet-as I would not do justice to the poor animal.

Number one on the list is actually the hardest for me now. WordPress reader never seems to recommend small blogs to me?
Only ones with massive readership. Maybe I have set it up wrong. But I do look for commenters blogs.

I commented on a blog post earlier via disqus or whatever itβs called and low and behold on my account there was a comment from me to you on your blogspot blog from ages ago!
