I am fully aware of the fact that people use the following electronic devices to blog on:
- Smartphones.
- Tablet computers.
- Laptop computers.
- Desktop computers.
However, I do not know which is the most commonly used electronic device that my fellow bloggers blog on.
Can you help me out with that?
I would really like to know which one of those electronic devices that you use the most for blogging purposes.

The Desktop Computer
The God’s/Goddess’ truth is that bloggers of all ages use their desktop computers to update their blogs.
And, it is very difficult to decipher how many of my fellow bloggers utilise their desktop computers for the purpose of blogging.
I would want to believe that many bloggers still use this type of electronic device to blog on.
And, why is it that I believe that a lot of bloggers use their desktop computer to update their blogs?
Well, for starters, the desktop computer is a powerhouse.
In addition to composing blog posts, desktop computers can be used for:
- Editing photos in a highly efficient manner.
- Creating unique images like infographics and GIFs.
- Formating blog posts with ease.
- Choosing and customising the theme for one’s blog with ease.
People like using their desktop computers for those things that I mentioned, because they can save lots of time doing them.
Also, in most cases, it is one of those electronic devices that almost everyone has easy access to.
Do you use a desktop computer to create the content for your blog?

The Laptop Computer
The laptop computer is also one of those electronic devices that is utilised by bloggers of all ages to update their blogs.
In my case, I do the majority of the content creation for my blog posts (seventy percent of them) on that electronic device.
I love the freedom of using my laptop computer in any room of my house (And, it can be used outside of my house too).
Some bloggers like to use the free WiFi at coffee houses (They compose the draft copy for their blog post on their laptop computer while they sip on their hot coffee and nibble on delicious donuts).
Like the desktop computer, the laptop computer is a powerhouse and it can be used to do the same tasks as the desktop computer.
I am one of those bloggers whose world would turn upside down if something were to go wrong with their laptop computer (It is my favourite electronic device to blog on).
Serious-minded content creators love using their laptop computers for blogging purposes.
Do you use a laptop computer to blog on?

The Tablet Computer
A large percentage of bloggers use their tablet computers to blog on.
And, a lot of people also own tablet computers.
Tablet computers are lightweight and energy efficient.
WordPress users can post articles on their blog via the usage of the WordPress Mobile App (They also have the option of using the web browser on their tablet computer to update their blog if they do not want to use the WordPress Mobile App).
Bloggers can also edit the photos for their blog post via various apps; which are available on Google Play, the App Store and the Microsoft Store.
It is possible to format one’s blog posts with the aid of a tablet computer.
Now, in spite of a tablet computer being fully capable of handling a blogger’s needs, many bloggers still prefer to use a desktop computer or a laptop computer for the final touches of their blog posts (They compose the daft copies for their blog posts on their tablet computers and they format their blog posts and edit the photos for their blog posts via their desktop computers or their laptop computers).
I am speculating that the percentage of bloggers who handle one hundred percent of the content creation creation process for their blogs on a tablet computer is a very small one.
I would not mind updating my blog on an iPad.
And, I would certainly enjoy putting Linux on a Microsoft Surface Pro 4 (The Linux operating system can also work on tablet computers).
Do you use your tablet computer for the purpose of blogging?

The Smartphone
The smartphone is one of the most popular electronic devices on the face of the Earth.
The only people who do not own smartphones are those who cannot afford one or those who refuse to own one.
The younger generation of bloggers are mostly the ones who use their smartphones to update their blog.
In my article, Can A Smartphone Handle All Of My Blogging Needs?, I mentioned the true potential of blogging on a smartphone and that using a laptop computer to blog on was most ideal for me.
I also mentioned that I compose thirty percent of the draft copies for my blog posts on my Android smartphone.
There are lots of people who use their smartphones for the sole purpose of blogging (And, they use it rather well to handle all of their blogging affairs).
I would encourage all bloggers to learn how to go about blogging on their smartphones.
Why?
Because, their smartphone would come in very handy to blog on the day that their desktop computer or their laptop computer refuses to function correctly or not at at.
Do you use your smartphone to publish blog posts?
Final Thoughts
We all have our favourite electronic device to blog on.
Some of us may only use one of those electronic devices to blog on.
And, there are some bloggers who use a combination of those electronic devices with the purpose of getting their quota of blogging done.
For the longest while, I have been thinking about adding a tablet computer to the list of electronic devices that I blog on.
If you are one of those bloggers who use all of those electronic devices that I mentioned in this blog post, you deserve a standing ovation and two thumbs up.
I am curious to find out what electronic device (or electronic devices) that you use to blog on (That can be done via the comments section of my blog).
And, thank you for checking out, Renard’s World.
Great article. I blog from my laptop and make minor changes from my smartphone.

βThe younger generation of bloggers are mostly the ones who use their smartphones to update their blog.β As a septuagenarian, I am anything but the younger generation of bloggers. But, as Iβve mentioned to you before, I use my iPhone 8 Plus almost exclusively for my blog. This comment is being typed on my iPhone while Iβm lying on my bed. I donβt own a desktop, rarely use my old iPad 3 tablet, and sometimes I will go for 4-5 days without booting up my laptop. The iPhone works great for blogging.

I blog with a smartphone, it’s easier and faster that way. Still I’m saving up for a laptop just so I can type a lot faster and edit the photos I use on the blog. Another perk about using a smartphone instead of a laptop is its relatively small storage space. Someone please get me a laptop!

At the moment, it surely looks as though you are well-versed at blogging on a smartphone.

I’m always using my PC, and I could imagine to use a notebook. But I don’t know how people do it on a mobile device, it sounds like a lot of pain to me lol.

Can’t think of anything other than my PC. Every other device like mobile, tablet or even a laptop is merely for consuming media. It’s not at all for creating anything productive. The comfort, PC offer can’t be matched with any other mobility oriented device.

I mostly use my phone if it is a simple post. Anything that is more than basic and I use my laptop. I donβt think my tablet is capable of editing anything but it might be fun to try!

i am 18 years old and i use my laptop for a reason .. yes and editing on smart phones is really good but the joy of typing on the actual keys of a physical keyboard is different according to me.

Laptop or desktop due to flexibility in content creation and blog management. I wish I could do everything on an iPad but it is useful for on- the- go.

Only on my desktop. I like being able to see the full post on a large screen before it’s published, plus my fingers are too thick for the tiny keys on a smartphone. I only use a smartphone and an iPad for browsing and reading.

I only use my desktop PC. I don’t have a smartphone. I once had an Android tablet but found it too difficult to use as I really need a separate keyboard and mouse. I don’t do well with touch-screens.

Since my laptop has been down for a while, I used my “no-excuse” method and use my smartphone for mostly all things, including blogging. At the end of the day though, its nothing like a good ole’ desktop… Until it’s time to move around. Lol!
