Are you one of those bloggers who complain about not having sufficient time to produce content for your blog?

Well, if your answer is, “Yes,” this article was made specifically for you.

The truth my friend is, that it is possible for you to produce content for your blog in a timely manner (Some of you have probably rolled your eyes up at this statement. But, I will prove to you that accomplishing this task is feasible).

1.) Write Down Topics In A Notepad

Believe it or not, this one is the simplest of all.

I highly recommend that you write your topics down on a notepad.

Why?

Because, it helps you to save time.

Too many bloggers waste too much time trying to come up with a topic to post about.

Now, if you have some topics already written in your notepad, you can simply choose one of them.

One of the worst things that a blogger could ever do is, stare at a blank screen for over half an hour pondering, “Hmm. What shall I post about today?”

The faster you come up with a topic is, the faster you will be able to compose a blog post.

So, do make it a habit of yours to write those topics down on a notepad.

One of the nice things about owning a notepad is, that you can take it everywhere you go (And, that means you would be in a position to write down those topics when you are on the go).

Some of you might be thinking, “I do not own a notepad.”

Hey, I have news for you and it is: you are not getting away so easily.

Most people have smartphones and most of them do come with a built-in notepad feature (So, use that instead).

2.) Do Some Brain Dumping

Brain dumping is simply writing or typing out the first thing that comes to your mind; this process is also effective in the area of time management (You would be surprised to find out how many words that you can write or type when you are deeply engaged in this process).

I highly recommend that you do this in a nonjudgmental manner, because as soon as you start judging what you wrote or typed, you are gong to break your free-flowing thoughts.

Besides, you do not have all day to sit in front of your computer, or stare needlessly at your tablet or smartphone.

After you have finished with the brain dumping process, you can edit what you wrote or typed.

If professional journalists can take advantage of the brain dumping process, you can do it too!

3.) Choose A Topic That You Know Very Well

From a logical perspective, it would be wise to choose a topic that you are well versed at.

Also, it is difficult to discuss a topic that you know very little of.

Therefore, writing or typing out blog posts based on topics that you know very well will take less time to produce.

Ask yourself, “What am I truly good at?”

Is it artwork?

Is it music?

Is it science?

Is it literature?

Is it cooking?

Okay, you get the point.

Do choose a topic (or topics) that you are very good at.

One of the major issues in the blogosphere is, bloggers choosing to go with popular topics instead of going along with their God-given talent (Now, if your God-given talent happens to involve one of those popular topics, then that can be perceived as something good in your favour).

Are you truly utilising those topics that you know very well?

4.) Eliminate All Distractions

You and I both know, that it is very difficult to maintain our focus with distractions around. We are often distracted by the following things:

  • Loud noises within our close vicinity.
  • Answering the phone when we are in the midst of composing a blog post.
  • Checking out the social media notifications during the time period we are supposed to be creating content for our blog.
  • People walking in and out of the room that we are in when we are trying our very best to compose a blog post.

The God’s/Goddess’s truth is, you are not going to get any blogging done anytime soon if distractions persist.

So, my friend, you will have no choice, but to eliminate those distractions; this can be done by doing the following things:

  • Wearing noise-cancelling headphones while you write or type, or by going into the most quiet room of your house in order to get your quota of blogging done.
  • By forwarding all of your phone calls to voicemail.
  • By turning your smartphone off (Which is the best way to avoid the temptation of checking your social media notifications).
  • By composing blog posts via a word processing program while your computer is in offline mode (Because, you may be tempted to check your social media notifications, knowing fully well that your smartphone is switched off.
  • By placing a Do Not Disturb sign on the door of the room that you are composing your blog posts in.
  • By letting your family members know, that you would be working on your blog at a specific time.

There are ways around distractions (It is up to us to come up with workable solutions; which will in turn, help us in the area of getting some blogging done).

5.) Being Highly Disciplined

Dear friend, if you lack discipline, you are not going to achieve much in life.

If a person who wants to become a boxer lacked the disciple to train their self in the art of boxing, they are going to fail miserably in the boxing ring; especially when they are faced with a formidable opponent.

Believe it or not, the same thing applies to blogging.

One of the first steps of becoming a great blogger is, actually getting some blogging done (And, the more you practice is the better you get).

To be blatantly honest, a lot of bloggers lack discipline.

As a matter of fact, a lot of them would prefer to watch five hours of television, or spend the entire night at a bar with their friends drinking alcoholic beverages.

Are you disciplined enough to accomplish your blogging goals.

Final Thoughts

If you are truly determined to get some blogging done, you will find a way.

I guarantee you that you will get some blogging done if you put these five tips into practice.

Are you serious about getting your blogging done?

I do hope that your answer is, “Yes!”

If your answer is, “No,” blogging is certainly not for you!
